Of Oracles and Columns

What if love evolved over time like music? Would you recognize the difference, or just tune it out? Should I get a dog? What makes my neighbors' goat fatter than my own?
These are the kinds of questions that might slip into your consciousness like a feather from a bird you'll never see. Once, oracles provided answers. One you could always count on? Delphi, naturally: the fulcrum on which so much of the ancient world turned. It's not on a recent list I formulated, but it once had star power to give Mykonos a run for its money! And oracles being what they are, we may have felt an oracular murmur from Pythia herself today—or hmm maybe it was Hermes—and on closer decoding it just might have been this:
